Pricing FAQs
Is there a call-out fee?+
There is no separate call-out fee for jobs within Greater Sydney. The $350 minimum charge covers your travel and the initial portion of work.
Do you charge by the hour or per job?+
Most jobs are billed by the hour. For larger or clearly scoped fabrication projects, we can provide a fixed quote after a site assessment. The $200 site visit fee is credited to the job if you proceed.
Why does aluminium cost more than steel?+
Aluminium welding requires specialised TIG equipment, argon shielding gas, and significantly more skill and care to avoid burn-through and contamination. The higher rate reflects the complexity and time involved.
Do you add GST on top of the quoted rate?+
Yes — all rates shown are ex GST. A tax invoice including GST will be provided on completion of work.
How do I know how long a job will take?+
We give honest time estimates before starting. For larger jobs where accuracy matters, a $200 site visit gives you a full scope, sketch, and fixed or estimated price before any welding begins.
